Yuki received her Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Medicine from Nanjing Agricultural University in 2024. Her interest in spermatogenesis led her to join the Yuan lab as a Master's student. She loves to travel and is always ready to explore something new.

Yanqing Wu joined Yuan lab in 2017 as a Ph.D. student and graduated in 2021 after passing through her Ph.D. training. Now she was recruited as OBG in Hubei Maternal and Child Health Hospital.

Shuangshuang Guo joined Yuan lab in 2018 as a postgraduate student and graduated in 2021 after passing through her master's degree in defense. Now she is a Ph.D. student at Guangzhou Medical University.

Jin Zhang received his bachelor of science at the College of Veterinary of Medicine from Nanjing Agricultural University in 2017. He joined Yuan Lab to study the regulation of animal reproduction as an exchanged student from Northwest A&F University. In 2020, he obtained his master's degree at Northwest A&F University and then joined Yuan Lab as a Ph.D. student. He likes running and traveling.

Jinmei Li joined Yuan's lab in 2019 as a postgraduate student and graduated in 2022 after passing her master's degree in defense. Now, she works in Wuhan No.4 Hospital as an OBG.

Rumi graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Medicine from Wuhan University of Science and Technology in 2024, and then joined Yuan Lab as a Master‘s student to explore reproductive medicine. She enjoys singing and running.

Yujiao Wen joined Yuan lab in 2016 as a postgraduate student and obtained her master's degree in 2019; then, she continued to pursue her Ph.D. degree and graduated in 2022 after passing her Ph.D. degree in defense. Now she was recruited as OBG  by Union Hospital of Tongji Medical College, HUST.

 Rumeng Xiang (Rumi),  M.D.  (postgraduate)

​Dr.Yuan received his Ph.D. degree in 2013 from China Medical University. He was an exchanged Ph.D. candidate student at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) from 2010 to 2013. After finished his Ph.D. training, he continued to work on reproductive biology as a post-doc in Dr.Wei Yan's lab at UNR from 2013 to 2016. In June of 2016, he moved to China as a full professor and started his own lab at Huazhong University Science and Technology (HUST). Broadly, his research field lies in aspects of human genetics and reproductive biology with a keen focus on investigating the genetic and epigenetic architecture of human infertility and the function of non-coding RNAs in germ cells' source of fertility. He likes swimming, hiking and running.

Mengneng Xiong joined Yuan lab in 2018 as a Ph.D. student and graduated in 2022 after finishing his Ph.D. training. Now he was recruited as OBG by Renmin Hospital, Wuhan University.

Shumin Zhou joined Yuan lab in 2019 as a postgraduate student and graduated in 2022 after passing through her master's degree in defense. Now she is a Ph.D. student at Zhejiang University.

Mark joined Yuan Lab in 2018 to study reproductive biology as a postdoctoral fellow. He left Yuan Lab in 2022 and now works at the Laboratory Animal Center of HUST.

Christine is an eight-year program medical student from Wuhan University. She obtained her bachelor's degree at Wuhan University in 2023. Then, she joined Yuan Lab for doctoral study as an exchange student. She likes reading and traveling.

Vivian obtained her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Medicine degree from Xiangya School of Medicine, Central South University in 2023, and then she joined Yuan Lab as a Master‘s degree candidate student and research on reproductive medicine. She enjoys practicing yoga, and believes that life is achieved through hard work and effort.

Xiaoli Wang (Lily), Ph.D.  (Associated professor)


Wenchao Xu joined Yuan Lab in May of 2022 to study the regulation of animal reproduction as an exchange student. He left Yuan Lab in July 2023 because he was going abroad for further studies.

Dr. Wang obtained her Ph.D. degree in 2015 from State Key Laboratory of Membrane Biology, Institue of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Science (IOZ, CAS).  After finished her Ph.D. training, she continued to work on cell biology as a post-doc at IOZ from 2015 to 2018. In November of 2018, she joined Dr. Yuan’s group at Huazhong University Science and Technology (HUST). Overall, her research focuses on genetic mechanisms underlying male spermatogenesis, especially the role of the DNA damage repair pathway in meiosis. She is also interested in the function of RNA-binding protein in germ cell development. She enjoys jogging, shopping, and traveling. 

Felix joined the Yuan lab as a postgraduate student in 2021 and received her master's degree in 2024. He is now a PhD student at Shandong University.

Emma joined Yuan Lab in 2020 as a postgraduate student and obtained her master's degree in 2023; then, she continued to pursue her Ph.D. degree in Yuan Lab to further explore the mystery of reproductive medicine. She likes reading, running, and playing badminton.​​​​​

Lisa joined Yuan Lab in 2021 as a postgraduate student and obtained her master's degree in 2024; then, she continued to pursue her Ph.D. degree in Yuan Lab to further study the reproductive medicine. She loves traveling and swimming. 

Mia obtained her bachelor's degree at Wuhan University in 2023. Then, she joined Yuan Lab as an exchange student. She likes traveling.

David joined the Yuan Lab in 2019 to study reproductive biology as a postdoctoral fellow. He left Yuan Lab in 2024 and is now an Associate Professor at Hunan University.

Jim joined Yuan Lab in 2020 as a postgraduate student and obtained his master's degree in 2023. He is now a Ph.D. student at Hunan University 

Erwin obtained his Bachelor of Science in Basic Medicine degree from Chongqing Medical University in 2022, and then he joined Yuan Lab as a Master's degree candidate student. He likes skateboarding and photography.

Xinxin Xiong (Max),  M.S.  (Ph.D. student)

Dr.Wang received her Ph.D. degree from State Key Laboratory of Genetic Engineering at Fudan University in 2012. After her post-doc training from Key Laboratory of Combinatorial Biosynthesis and Drug Discovery at Wuhan University. In July of 2016, she joined Dr. Shuiqiao Yuan’s lab at HUST. Her research focuses are genetics and epigenetic regulations in the process of spermatogenesis and the role of membrane contacts between different organelles in reproductive biology. She enjoys yoga, hand-making, and traveling.

Allen joined Yuan's lab as a graduate student in 2021 and completed his PhD in 2024. He has now been recruited as a postdoctoral researcher at Zhejiang University.

Nancy obtained her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Medicine degree from Hunan Normal University in 2024, then she joined Yuan Lab as a master's degree candidate student . She enjoys playing the guitar and going to the gym.

Juan Dong joined Yuan lab in 2016 as a Ph.D. student and graduated in 2019 after finishing her Ph.D. training. Now she was recruited as OBG by Union Hospital of Tongji Medical College, HUST.

Dr.Gao received her Ph.D. degree in agriculture from Northwest A&F University in 2022. She engaged in research related to animal reproductive regulation. Her previous research focused on the regulatory role of Sertoli cells on spermatogonia. Thus, she joined Dr. Yuan's lab in September of 2022 to continue research on male reproduction as a postdoctoral fellow recruited jointly with the Central Hospital of Wuhan. Her current research focuses on the protein function in spermatogenesis and the culture of organoids. She likes climbing mountains.

Chloe obtained her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Huazhong Agricultural University in 2022. Out of her passion for reproductive medicine, she joined Yuan Lab as a master's degree candidate student to expand her knowledge and skills. She likes playing badminton and running.
